The last week in August I was able to snag some time off and go home!!! IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!! I had the best time of my life, I loved seeing my family and meeting the two new little ones!
This is the moment I had been waiting for most, to meet baby June bug!! She is just the cutest thing and so tiny! After 30 some hours of traveling to get here from King Cove I was pretty exhausted but so happy to see my family! It was awesome they had signs and balloons and everything, my family is the best!!
Baby June bug :] |
My little brother is finally taller than me! I can't believe it, and not just my a little. In this photo I am wearing high heels. When did he get so big!!
By huge brother!! |
I just couldn't get enough of her!! I was so happy to be back!
Baby June's adorable flower |
That day was even my dad's birthday :) Whoop whoop! Happy Birthday Dad!!!
I love my mama!! |
Another big event I chose to come down the last week in August was my lifetime friend Jess was getting married!! I just couldn't miss this, I hardly ever get to see her so I wanted to be there :)
For those of you who don't know....Jess, Brett & I all grew up together from elementary through High school. Jessica & I even took dance classes from Brett's mother, so we were always around hanging out with her crazy boys. Still so crazy they got married ;) I was so happy I was able to congratulate them and wish them the best, love you two!!
I was totally squishing her :/ |
The flash was a bit bright outside |
Derek is so tall!! I don't have any shoes on in this photo and couldn't believe how tall he is when I looked at it. I'm 5'8 and the last time I saw him he was just about my height maybe a tiny bit taller. He's only 14, so he still has some growing to do!!
Momo and Didi's first time meeting June, and they couldn't get enough of her. Didi loved giving her kisses and saying "Oh baby June June" in his sweetest voice.
I love my big sister Reese! |
June bug just sleeps and sleeps so we took lots of naps together :]
Don't you just love her shirt! |
Ha! What a great photo, baby Tonah is a big guy. The baby in the picture Reese is holding is me when I was little, boy wasn't I a chunk. And baby T is right behind me that little chunker!
I loved making her wear her sweet shades! She doesn't care for it to much, but she just looks so adorable!
I got this bib for her when I spent sometime in Seward, It's a little too big but I think its adorable.
Baby June Alaska style :] |
Didi couldn't get enough of June bug |
Another big moment, we went to Rooster's Brewery Company for lunch!!!! Oh so good! and so much better than I remember!! I love and miss this place so much!! I have been going to Rooster's at the very least once a week from when I was 16 to 22, then when I moved to New York and Philadelphia, I missed this place just as much as I missed my family. Needless to say after I got back I practically lived here :) It's always been so nice to visit home and visit Rooster's.
Teagan and his lovely girlfriend Haley came to join us as Roosters
Reese's boys and me and Der der |
I got Derek some sweet shoes when we went shopping at the mall, when we got home Didi couldn't wait to try them on. He was walking and falling around everywhere, it was so cute!
D man showing us his moves |
Isn't he just so adorable!!! |
I got this big boy a sweet outfit :) I saw this in GAP and just had to get it for him. We all had such a good laugh, when I took this photo he gave me the cutest face and just kept smiling because little did he know we were laughing at adorably cute he is!
Momo drew me a dinosaur while waiting for our snow cones to arrive. How cute!
Cherisse, Ryan, and the boys took me to the Hokulia Shave Ice Co. it was so delicious! Momo and I split a snow cone and we even got a giant scoop of ice cream on the bottom! Mmmmm
Tonah kept trying to grab it like crazy.
While in Provo I called up my good friend Jonathon and let him know I had finally arrived home! So we squeezed some time in my busy schedule to meet up for breakfast! It was great! and felt so good to see him, I have known Jonathon now for quite a few years and we always have a blast together. It was so much fun just losing track of time and catching up on all our adventures, we could talk for hours. We had much catching up to do since it has been such a long time since I've seen him. Crazy but Jonathon and I were actually in Anchorage at the same time for 2 months and had no idea! The morning he told me he was there too I was heading to the airport to leave for King Cove :( lame! He left the next week but he says hopefully he'll be back up again when I'm in Anchorage, since his mother lives in Alaska.
Later on that day I took the boys to 7 peaks water park, we had such a great time! Momo is an excellent swimmer, however Didi still needs to learn. It was so funny watching the boys have so much fun in the wave pool and on the slides! We played all sorts of water games and tag with some other kids it was a blast!
LOVE these adorable boys!!! |
My BYU boys!!! One of our last days hanging out I said I love your BYU jersey's and Momo started putting it on and started putting Didi's on too. Momo is so cute!
We went to eat at Cafe Rio for lunch, here Didi was showing me what an expert he is at cutting his burrito properly with a fork and knife. He had to really concentrate on putting the knife through the fork to cut the burrito, he is just too cute!
Another shopping day at the mall. This is how we started out our shopping day, Tonah is just such a big boy it can get tiring carrying him all the time. My sister has this little strap to help make it easier, and Tonah loves it.
Although he kept leaning forward and sucking on the wood ring, after a while I stopped trying to hold him up to prevent him from doing that.
Then I realized he was falling asleep during all of this. I held his head and 1 minute later he was out!
Cherisse then wrapped him up tight so that he could sleep, I thought this thing was awesome! And I must admit I felt like a total Utah mom carrying him around in this thing haha ;)
I love his chubby little legs poking out |
Later that night I drove back to Ogden from Provo to pick up my brothers and headed to Park City! Where we rented a room at the Hyatt Hotel in the Canyons. It was such a nice room and we had such a blast! The pool was absolutely amazing and we were all stunned at the beautiful atmosphere of the hotel.
I also got to see a good friend of mine Amy from school. I love Amy and had such a blast with her out on main street Park City. It was so wonderful to be back home and visiting all of my old friends. All of them said "Your back!!!! Finally your back!!" It was so great and I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends. I hope to move back to Park City once I finished school. I MISS this place!!
Main Street, Park City |
The boys and I walked up and down Main St, I enjoyed spending time with them while they loved exploring Park City. We had a great time doing lots of shopping, making frequent stops at the many gallery's along Main St. We also stopped for lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Bistro 412. Goodness gracious was it ever so delicious!!
Mmmm my favorite! |
After shopping & lunch we headed to Park City Mountain resort for a full day of fun activities!! We were stoked to get on the Alpine slides! Now I went on this when I was a little girl but haven't been since. I don't remember too much and it was awesome! You go so fast!

From their I said goodbye to my family and made a stop in Portland for the day :] I love P-town and its even more awesome that my two cousins live there!! Brittany came and picked me up from the airport and we headed straight down to the Portland Saturday Market, my favorite!! We also went out for some sushi and did some serious shopping. We had so much fun laughing and telling funny stories, we always have too much fun together.
